Some Corals May Be Able To Tolerate Climate Change By Changing Which Algae Live Within Them

As the world’s oceans continue to warm, approximately 90 percent of the world’s coral reefs are projected to die by 2050. During marine heatwaves, the rise in temperatures can stress the corals and cause them to eject the algae that reside within them.  (Source: forbes.com)
